As of April 2012, Therezinha has served as the senior pastor of the Richmond Brazilian Church in the Potomac Conference since July 2009. She began pastoral ministry in 2004 in the Newark Luzo-Brazilian Church of the New Jersey Conference. She has a passion for evangelism and community services. Therezinha holds a BA in theology from Sao Paulo Adventist University (Brazil,1990) and a BA from the School of Law, Sao Paulo University (Brazil, 1998).
She is married to Zeli Leite, a concert pianist who helps her in ministry in the Richmond Brazilian Church. The couple has one adorable and special daughter, Rafaella (11). Because Rafaella has autism, Therezinha and her husband enjoy spending time helping their daughter improve her skills and  also to play with her, especially singing, swimming, and drawing, all activities that Rafaella loves.
