Listen to Darriel's Story

As of April 2012, Pastor Darriel Hoy has the best job in the world! As pastor of the Highland Crest SDA Church, she partners with God and her congregation to bring hope and lasting change in the lives of Topeka’s community members. As the Director of Community Ministries for Central States Conference, she assists congregations with sharing the love of Jesus in the most practical ways. She also serves as a consultant for churches and nonprofit organizations, specializing in grant writing, holistic ministry, and youth leadership development. Darriel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Duke University and earned a Master of Divinity Degree at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. She enjoys laughing, eating coconut cake, sailing, and winning at board games. Darriel’s mission in life is to walk joyfully and humbly with Christ in such an appealing way, that others take note and follow Jesus too.
