Listen to Brenda's Story

As of April 2012, Brenda is the senior pastor of the Metropolitan Church in Hyattsville, Maryland. In 2000 she served as associate pastor there, and in 2004 she was commissioned by the Allegheny East Conference and assigned to the Bladensburg Church in Bladensburg, Maryland, as its pastor. Brenda earned two BA degrees, in religion and in psychology, from Columbia Union College. She also holds an MA in education and counseling from Howard University. Brenda gives God all the glory. She wants to be known as “a humble vessel willing to be used by God.” Love for God and obedience to His leading developed in her a passion for creative writing and public speaking, affording her countless opportunities to minister to audiences throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and the Caribbean. Through
these means, God prepared and equipped her for His call into full-time pastoral ministry.
