Listen to Tara's Story

As of April 2012, Tara is the senior pastor of Chestnut Hill Church and REACH Philadelphia Church Plant, as well as the director of Pennsylvania Youth Challenge, a nine-week youth and young-adult summer outreach program. She firmly
believes in the power of the Holy Spirit to work through all of God’s church (Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 2:14, 18) and bring transformation in people’s lives through Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18). Her greatest joys are seeing someone come to Christ and helping people find their purpose and place in the work of God’s Kingdom. In 2000, Tara began pastoral ministry in the Washington Conference and has been passionately involved in public and literature evangelism for over 15 years. She holds a BA in theology from Southwestern Adventist University, an MDiv in youth ministry from the Theological Seminary at Andrews University, and is currently pursuing a DMin degree in discipleship and biblical spirituality. Tara and her husband, Caleb, enjoy serving together in ministry, spending time with their families, backpacking, traveling, mission trips, and photography.
