Listen to Cherise's Story

As of last April 2012, Cherise has served for the past five years as the family ministries pastor at Glendale City Church. From the time she was five years old she wanted to serve the Lord in some aspect of ministry. She attended Northern
Caribbean University, an Adventist institution in Jamaica. After graduating with a BA in religion and a BS in business administration, Cherise entered the U.S. Army Reserve, where Uncle Sam gave her a lesson in leadership and responsibility. She later went on to earn her MA in religion from La Sierra University, with a concentration in Christian Social Ethics.
Being able to work with young people is amazing. They’re always up for doing something new. To keep up with the youth she plays tennis, racquetball, and holds a grudging love-hate relationship with jogging. She also likes word puzzles and having “Dora” adventures with her three year-old daughter Katelyn.
