Sharon Cress
Listen to Sharon's Story

As of April 2012 this is Sharon's story: Sharon Cress grew up in a small Florida town surrounded by her extended family. The foundation of this unique environment instilled in her the value of community and supportive relationships.
Sharon began her ministry in the Florida Conference in the Tampa First church and then served as an Associate. She continued her ministry in the Lake Union Ministerial Association. She transitioned to an Associate in the Ministerial Associations of the Ohio Conference and then the Mid-America Union. In 1990, she returned to pastoral ministry in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1993 she accepted the position of Associate in the Ministerial Association of the General Conference. She was there 18 years and then followed God’s leading to Potomac. She studied Church Growth at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. She was married to Jim Cress who died
in 2009. Sharon would gladly tell you that Jesus has guided her life since
1970 when she returned it to Him. She delights in browsing antique shops,
studing American history, and relaxing in the desert. She rests in the promise of Romans 8:38 that nothing can separate her from God's love.
