Kentucky-Tennessee Conference Ministerial Spouses Retreat

Margarita Klinedinst Pastors’ wives from the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference came together for a rejuvenating retreat during a beautiful spring weekend earlier this year at Indian Creek Camp, amidst redbud blossoms and a sparkling lake nestled in the mountains of central Tennessee.

With the topic,
The Redemption of Women, the speaker, Marquita Klinedinst, shared moving portrayals of God’s love  and grace through the stories of Eve, Sarah, Esther, and Mary Magdalene.  The theme resounded time after time: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. . . For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1,3 NKJV  God wants each of us to savor that same love and grace!  We are His!

The whole weekend was a nurturing experience: the splendor of God’s handiwork through nature; beautiful Scripture art, plants and flowers surrounding us in the fireplace room; songs to uplift the heart led by Christian folk artist Linda Thompson and Southern Adventist University student Mindy Steele; thoughtful gifts and activities to pamper and delight; delicious food artfully prepared; and quality time for fellowship, reflection and prayer with sisters in ministry.”
